Polaris: crew planning for remote sites

Plan fly-in fly-out rotations, cover absences with ranked replacements, and export schedules. Each client gets its own space.

polaris.beedy.ca is the home of Polaris, Beedy's crew planning product for remote sites: mines, camps, and the water treatment, maintenance, health and camp services that run them.

What it does

  • Rotation grid: month, year and map views of who works where, day and night shifts, arrival and departure flights, absences and open positions. Rotation presets include 14/14, 21/7, 14/7, 21/14, 28/28, 10/4, 8/6, 7/7, 4/3, 5/2, or custom.
  • Replacements: report an absence and Polaris ranks candidates by trade, certifications, rotation phase and distance.
  • Coverage: a gap radar looks ahead for unfilled positions.
  • Training and certifications: each certification carries its validity, so expiry dates are computed.
  • Logistics: charter flights and manifests, and rooming lists for camp housing.
  • Exports: schedules as PDF, by month or year, project and employee.
  • Assistant: ask questions about the schedule in plain language; draft shift reports.

Getting in

Polaris is sold per site on an annual licence. Each client gets its own space, with its own service and its own database. If your company is a client, click Client login on polaris.beedy.ca and enter your work email: it sends you to your company's space, where you sign in. If you are evaluating Polaris, book a demo with a person.

First steps in a new space

Create your projects (a known mine site or a custom location, dates, positions and required training), then your employees, then assign them to rotations.

Current limits

Text-message itineraries and automated voice calls exist but are switched off: the demonstration shows a preview of the message instead of sending it.
